I was up and finished packing by 10 this morning, which is kind of a miracle based on how late I have been crawling out of bed the last few days. I brought everything downstairs and went to say bye to the hosts. I wasn't able to move in to my next place until 4 pm but my current hosts were kind enough to let me keep my suitcase at their house until later in the day. I didn't feel like adventuring too far today so I just grabbed my laptop and went back to Coffee Bay. I hadn't done any blogging the previous day and today seemed like a good day to make up for that. I was in the cafe for many hours. At one point two young guys came in and had lunch. I'm not 100% sure but I think they are trainees at Big Hit? (Reading back over this I am almost 100% sure that the tall guy was Soobin from TXT and the other guy must have been another TXT member)

I got lunch at Savour and then picked up my suitcase. The subway to get to my next place took way longer than expected! I had to do two transfers and the escalator at one of the stations was broken so I had to carry my huge suitcase down two flights of stairs. I was boiling hot and exhausted by the time I actually got to the last station.
I started walking towards the place I was staying at when a couple stopped me. It ends up that they were the people I was staying with and they had come to meet me at the station, which was so cute and kind of them! Martin carried my suitcase for me while we walked back to their apartment. On the way we passed a building called Blue Square. It had advertisements for a survival show called The Unit along the side of the building. The Unit was one of the shows that Jaehyun had produced so I got even more excited seeing the ads.

We walked up a hill to a huge apartment building called Namsan Mansion and I moved into my new room for the next week. After I had unpacked a bit we all sat down for tea in their living room and ended up talking for several hours. They are both incredibly intelligent, lovely, and interesting people to chat with which makes for very stimulating conversation. After tea they took me out for dinner at a famous ramen place on Itaewon Street and it was so yummy!
After eating we walked along Itaewon Street for a bit and they pointed out good restaurants. They also took me to the Grand Hyatt hotel, which is supposedly the place where Trump and Obama and other important people came/come when they visit Korea. The hotel is huge and very luxurious (we snuck inside to look around quickly).
It was such a wonderful evening! It was so nice and easy to chat with both Martin and Kate. They are both super interesting to listen to and seem like really kind people so I am looking forward to my stay with them!

Hope everyone is doing well,
Emily
