I finally went to get my tattoo touched up today! After two failed attempts to go to the place without an appointment I decided to contact them and book one. I needed to be at the tattoo place for 2 pm and then Ella and I planned to meet nearby and go to some Jin cafes in Gangnam. I didn't have anything in my room for breakfast so I walked to a Jin cafe to get food (and photo cards). The cafe was about 45 minutes away in an area of Gangnam I hadn't been to before so it was a nice walk. The decorations were so cute and there were lots of fun things that came with the cup sleeve!

I grabbed my tea and then had to leave right away so I could make it to my tattoo appointment in time. It took around 45 minutes to walk to the tattoo place (it's pretty close to the place I am staying at). It barely took any time to get the tattoo touched up but it was actually kind of painful this time, maybe because it was tattooing over skin that hadn't healed yet. The artists put tape on it and I was all set to go. It was a lot more red than last time and it hurt the entire walk back to my room. It seemed to finally calm down after a little bit though, which was fortunate.

Ella and I met at the station near my place and then we walked to a comic book cafe (CartoonShopV) down the street. Taehyung and Jimin (BTS) visited the cafe and filmed a few things for their comeback show in May (I think). The place looked super comfy and cute so Ella and I wanted to visit it. I have never been to a comic book cafe before, but I loved it. When we entered the girl at the front desk gave us a card that we had to return when we were done. I think they use the card to tell how long someone has been in the cafe for (you pay by the hour). There were shelves of comics on the right side and lots of different seating areas on the right. One of the places people could read in were cute little tents with lights. The places that Tae and Jimin had sat were marked with BTS stickers and there was a bulletin board near the door where fans had written messages for them. Ella and I climbed to the top cubby and sat down to relax for a bit. There was a menu in the cubby with different dishes we could order to eat while reading. We had lots of cafes to get through though so we decided not to eat anything.

Cafe #1: Charlie Brown Cafe
This cafe was very cute and the owners were nice, but it was so quiet and cold! There was no music playing downstairs and the seating area was in the basement so it was not a comfortable temperature. We sat got a sandwich here and then sat for an hour or so, until it was a reasonable time to go to dinner.

The place we picked for dinner tonight was a restaurant called The House that was relatively close to the Charlie Brown cafe. BTS filmed a dinner video for their 2018 Festa here and it looked like a cool place to try. It was in an area that neither of us had been to before and it was definitely not a restaurant we would have discovered on our own. We ordered wings and a mixed noodle and vegetable thing that I can't remember the name of. They brought the noodle dish out and it was really good, but there was so much. We had almost finished it all by the time the wings came out and we were pretty full. It would've been nice if both plates came out together, but the food was still good. They had the BTS Festa video playing on the TV for a bit and then they played a music show.

Cafe #2: One in a Million
We walked back up towards the river after dinner and found our next cafe. It didn't have many BTS decorations but the atmosphere was nice. Both of us got a drink and a different cake so we could try two kinds. We relaxed here until late in the evening and then we went home.
Hope everyone is doing well,
Emily
