Day 85: Bridges & Seoul Forest

I really love the bridges in Seoul (as I have probably mentioned multiple times already). Each one is different and I love standing on them and looking out over the river. There are two where BTS filmed scenes from music videos at that I have not seen so I dragged Ella along to try and find them. The first was called Hangang Bridge and it crosses over an island named Nodeul. It's an artificial island with an ecological park on it. BTS supposedly filmed a scene from I Need U on part of the island. I was excited to visit the island and see what was around it so we met near the south end of the bridge and walked across it to the island. When we arrived we found that there was some huge construction project going on in the middle of the island and it didn't look like we should be walking around it. It was disappointing to not be able to wander around, but at least I got to see the bridge.

We were going to go to Banpo bridge next (where BTS filmed a scene from Run), but we didn't have enough time to do that and Seoul Forest before the sun set. I really wanted to see Banpo bridge because it has two levels to it and the lower level (that people can walk across) is very close to the water. I figured this was something I could do another time by myself though so we walked to a subway station and hopped on a line to Seoul Forest. By the time we arrived it had started to get fairly dark. I had been here before a few months ago to find the tunnel where Yoongi took his photo for the Love Yourself series posters and Ella saw my instagram story from that time. Her bias in BTS is Yoongi and she really wanted to see the tunnel too so I offered to go again to show here where it was. I really liked the forest and it would be fun to explore more! I somehow managed to remember how to get to the tunnel even though I had been there quite awhile ago so I felt pretty proud of myself haha.

We took a few photos in the tunnel and then Ella showed off that she was short enough to walk through it without hitting her head. She also had a ton of fun going down the slides, which was cute.

After we finished playing around the park it was pretty dark and we weren't really sure what to do next. I had seen a post on instagram yesterday that there was a pop up shop in Gangnam for some BT21 x Reebok shoes. We were really close to Gangnam so we took the subway over, stopped by the store briefly, and then I showed Ella my favourite red bean restaurant.

Ella hopped on a subway back home after we had some red bean soup and I walked back home because I was less than an hour away and the weather wasn't too cold.

I passed through the subway station that's near my place to get some fruit at the convenience store and I found a Taehyung birthday ad.
